What we are:
At Lawson’s, we pride ourselves on providing our guests with unforgettable experiences that showcase the best of the Yucatan. Whether you are interested in exploring ancient Mayan archeological sites, floating in pristine cenotes, or sampling some of the world-famous local cuisine, we have something to offer every type of traveler.
What we aim to provide are unique, personalized, and completely serendipitous experiences that meander along, almost seemingly without purpose but with a general direction in mind all the while present and open to the possibility of stopping for a photo, speaking with the lady selling chinas, or eating some delicious chicken on a highway-side grill; maybe even to play baseball with the local village teams on a warm and cloudless Sunday.
Quality, immersive experiences for discerning guests that straddle the fine line between cheap group options and the higher-end helicopter set.
The guides that work with Lawson’s are passionate about sharing their knowledge and love for the Yucatan with our guests. We are committed to providing you with a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience.
What we are NOT:
We are not interested in cramming people into a van from seventeen different hotels and taking them to an over-hyped destination and feeding them mediocre buffet food in a restaurant that was chosen because it pays a commission to the guide. We also have no interest in providing bubble tours that provide a fantasy experience unrelated to reality and accessible only to the very wealthy. There are already a wide selection of those tour companies out there, so check them out.
So if you are looking for cheap tours or Mayans waiting on you hand and foot, Lawson’s might not be your best option.
